Jun 30, 2005 · Oh Crap, P2646 is back. I bought an 03 element with 265,000 miles on the car. It started to thrown the P2646 code and I tried everything to get rid of it. I took it to my local mechanic and he measure the oil pressure and cylinder pressure, sure enough the engine was weak. Code P2646 troubles. My element has had this code pop up on and off for probably about a year now. When it occurs, the engine light, traction, and VSA light all turn on and the car jerks whenever I try to go over 3000 RPM, and if I go too fast (e.g. on the highway) it just starts decelerating. I've brought it multiple places to get looked at ...
